Beyond the world of work and school, here is a small peak into the things that make my heart happy and help to keep me inspired and to get up each morning.

Rice & Milk 🍚🥛
- Not only is this my favorite meal, but it is my comfort meal. I grew up with a mom who not only worked full-time during the day but went to school every night for her nursing school. We had very few moments to enjoy each others company, but the time between 5 PM and 8 PM was when we would eat dinner. When my dad was out of town working our go to meal was white Minute Rice (heated in the microwave), a lot of sugar, and milk. Think oatmeal mixed with cereal, it creates a magnificent meal of cozy comfort.
1930s-1950s Oldies From Another Room 🎶🎧💕
- As soon as I get home, I turn on the T.V. and queue up a playlist of Oldies. These videos are very peaceful and often feature beautiful landscapes. These playlists are good to listen to when reading, cooking, cleaning, or even just having a light background noise while watching a show. This music really helps me wind down and focus of myself more.
9-1-1 🎬📺
- When I really am feel bored and am lacking inspiration in my life I usually go to binge watch a show. Recently I have been utterly obsessed with the show 9-1-1, now this is just the original one (the spin-offs are not my favorite). I feel like it can help keep my attention pretty well, but it also adds a bit of excitement to my life.
