Thank you to everyone in the Honeoye Falls-Lima community who participated in this year’s school district vote. Your voice matters, and your continued engagement plays a vital role in the success of our schools.
“Thank you for your continued support of the school budget, the HF-L budget is more than just a series of expenses and are statements of values that reflect our priorities. The investment in our students is designed to yield strong return in the form of growth, and excellence for not only our learners but for our community. Your investment in our schools is an investment in the future,” said Superintendent Gene Mancuso.
Voters approved proposition #1, the proposed 2025-26 school budget, with a final tally of 666 in favor and 318 against.
Proposition #2, which authorizes the purchase of school buses, passed with 683 votes in favor and 300 against.
A third proposition—Proposition #3—was also approved by voters, with 644 in favor and 333 against. This proposition establishes a transportation capital reserve fund to help cover the cost of school buses and other vehicles, including electric school buses and electric vehicles, as well as transportation-related infrastructure. This may include:
The construction or renovation of school district transportation buildings and facilities
Original equipment, machinery, furnishings, and related tools
Other improvements and necessary expenses that support transportation operations
Congratulations to the four community members elected to serve on the Board of Education. The newly elected board members received the following number of votes:
Stephanie Templeton – 683 votes
David Youngblut – 664 votes
David Francis – 656 votes
Joel Robinson – 600 votes
