Congratulations to Manor School teachers Brittney Goodyear and Gwen Henderson on being recipients of the BOE's Cougar Pride Award! Goodyear and Henderson were nominated by Amy and Carson Lewis. They noted the following: "Our daughter, Emma has Brittney Goodyear and Gwen Henderson for 3rd grade this year, and we feel as if we have hit the "teacher jackpot" with these two wonderful ladies. They are truly the best! Mrs. Goodyear and Mrs. Henderson have created a wonderful and warm environment for their students to learn in, and grow in, both academically and as individuals. They have created a little family in their classroom. It is truly evident how much they both love and care for their students, and their jobs. My daughter, Emma says, “Mrs. Goodyear truly cares about us, and makes learning fun for us. Mrs. Goodyear and Mrs. Henderson are happy to see us and smiling even when things are tough.” Also, Emma has always struggled with math and needed extra help. However, this is the first year that she has enjoyed it, and in turn is doing so much better, thanks to Mrs. Goodyear’s teaching style. It was once said that “the influence of a good teacher can never be erased”-(Unknown), and that is truly the case for these two ladies. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for putting your hearts and souls into teaching HF-L students. We are forever grateful!"

Good morning! This is a reminder that Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held on Feb. 18 and 20th at the High School, and Feb. 17th and 24th at the Middle School. We look forward to seeing you then! Students will be dismissed at noon on all of those days. Teachers report for a full day, and there is no school on Feb. 25th.

Good morning! This is a reminder that Parent-Teacher conferences will be held Feb. 12th and 13th. We will have an earlier dismissal at 12:30pm both of those days, with conferences beginning at 1:30pm. Childcare will be provided courtesy of our student volunteers in our Early Childhood Learning program. There is no school on Friday, Feb. 14th. Thank you!
