A team of middle school baseball players are celebrating a win by hugging each other on the field.

The baseball team won in the opening round of playoffs beating the Yosemite Miners 10-3. They advance to the state finals to play the Denali Mountain Toppers. This will be the first time they have advanced to the championship since 2003.

Led by the pitching of 8th grader Gerrit Cole, the Crusaders have boasted a impressive record of 12-4; the best in school history. With a win over Denali they will win the first state title in school history.

Come out to support your Crusaders in the state championship game being played in our very own stadium. GO Crusaders!!!
