Hey Denali families! Ms. Pumphrey here. It is officially that time of year again. That's right, the annual Denali Middle School Spelling Bee is just around the corner!
Our language arts classes have already held their classroom rounds, and we have officially whittled the competition down to our top grade-level spellers. They are ready to take the auditorium stage to see who will represent DMS at the regional competition.
The Schedule:
When: Wednesday, June 10th at 1:30 PM (Right after 5th period)
Where: The School Auditorium
Who: Our grade-level finalists will be competing on stage. Parents and families of the finalists are highly encouraged to attend and cheer them on!
A Quick Note for Competitors:
The master word list and the official rules sheet are both available online. If you want some extra practice before next Wednesday, I will be hosting a mock-bee/study session during lunch this Thursday in Room 204. Bring your lunch and your flashcards.
It takes a ton of courage to stand up on that stage in front of the whole school, so let's make sure we pack the auditorium and give all our spellers some major Denali support.
